24/7 Prayer Countdown

Greetings in the name of Jesus.

As we are starting to get things together for next week I’m very excited to see how God is going to use this time we set aside. Some people might be confused as to why we focus so much energy into prayer like this each year. Over the 10+ years we’ve done the 24/7 I can tell you it has had a powerful impact both on Bloor Central, as well as individual lives. I want to join in. The best way to get the most out of the 24/7 prayer week is to start getting ready now.

The first thing to do is to set some time aside. The sign up list for the room is at https://signup.24-7prayer.com/signup/c2c218 . You can also drop by Bloor Central and sign up on the list hanging in the stairway (off the parking lot).

The second thing that can be helpful is to put an effort into preparing. Getting some bible passages ready that you know can be helpful. Also, making lists of things you want to pray about (issues in your life, others, the city etc.). If you have never spent an hour in prayer before (or even if you have) there are many tools available to help you. The prayer room at Bloor Central is full of ideas of how to pray for yourself, your city, your world. How to worship, seek guidance, ask for strength, in prayer. Also this Sunday we will have tools that will help you prepare for your extended time in prayer.

This is a great opportunity for each of us to commit some time to seeking God with all our heart.
