Greetings in the name of Jesus.

The menu for this weeks Community Meal sounds exciting. We will start off with cream of broccoli soup and move into vegetarian chili on rice, home made corn bread (I love the cornbread) and coleslaw. The desert will be a slice of watermelon. Everyone is welcome so why not invite a friend to join you from 4-6pm on Saturday.

On Sunday morning we will be sharing an exciting message that speaks of the power of Gods Holy Spirit. Have you ever felt sometimes that you need a friend. Someone to help you, advise you, guide you. The Bible speaks about that. The message this week is extremely encouraging recognizing that God fully equips us with all we need to fulfill his purpose for our lives. Join us Sunday morning at 10am.

This has been a powerful week of prayer for us at Bloor Central as we’ve had people praying here for 24 hours a day since Sunday. This Sunday at 5pm we gather to close our week of prayer. If you have been participating we hope you will join us Sunday at 5 to share how God has been speaking to you through the week. If you have not participated we still hope you will join us Sunday at 5 to hear what has been going on in our 24/7 Prayer Room.

We have been so encouraged to hear from Jahred and Jessica as they settle down in their new ministry in Bangladesh. It has been a reminder that Bloor Central is part of a global movement that serves in more then 130 different countries. Each year at Bloor Central we take up a mission offering that is designated for Salvation Army ministry around the world. This year the offering will be going to the ministry of The Salvation Army in Indonesia. Please be prepared for this special offering we will take up on May 25.
