Link #361 - “Who do you say I am?”
Greetings in the name of Jesus.
Let me start off by reminding you that this weekend kicks off our Food Bank Drive that we’ve run for the past 3 years in memory of Andrew Evagelou. Andrew was an important part of our spiritual family who passed away three years ago and his favorite meal was spaghetti Bolognese. So we serve this meal in his honor at our Community Meal (7ATE9) this week. If you want to bring some non perishable food items for our food bank, or make a financial donation it will support our work in the food bank in Andrews honor.
The meal this week will include broccoli soup, beef Bolognese with Fusilli pasta and a Caesar salad with a roll and butter. Desert will be a berry cheese cake hack. We serve the meal from 4-6pm and everyone is invited, and everyone is invited to invite a friend.
On Sunday we continue to explore questions that scripture offers us. At one point in the ministry of Jesus he turned to his disciples and said “Who do you say that I am?”. Have you ever thought about this question for yourself? For most people they answer this question based on what they have heard others say, or based on a few scattered things they have heard, but they have never taken time to consider it for themselves. This seems like a far too important question to make our decision based on what other people have told us. We invite you this Sunday at 10am to confront this question for yourselves. We all gather on Sunday morning to seek God at 10am.
We look forward to seeing you at Bloor Central this weekend.
