Link #238 - Stay connected.
Greetings in the name of Jesus.
We have a lot of things happening as we get closer to Holy Week and so we just want to make sure everyone is staying up to date.
First of all on tonight (Thursday) we are showing the last episode of The Chosen for season 3. It really is a wonderful production to prepare us to enter Holy Week. It does not matter if you have seen any of the other episodes, each week can stand on its own. If you can join make it tonight join us at 7pm. We got popcorn, wonderful fellowship and a very provocative program to view together.
We will write more about the coming weekend tomorrow, but don’t forget that this Sunday Jahred and Jessica Warkentin will be sharing what has been going on in their lives. Most of you know they have been away for the last month on a cross cultural ministry course in Colorado. They are just back for one Sunday before they leave for their assignment in Bangladesh. This is your opportunity to not only bid them fare-thee-well, but also a chance to get filled on what they will be doing. We want to be praying for them both over the next three years so we hope you can join us to understand something of what they will be doing. That is going to be Sunday at 10am.
Each year during Holy Week we often share extra editions of the Bloor Central Link to help focus us for Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Next week, starting on Palm Sunday through till Holy Thursday we will be sending out daily Bloor Central Links. This year all we send out is the lectionary bible readings for the day. Each of these readings are specifically chosen for the season and Christians around the world read them - as we will. In many ways it is an opportunity for us to join with the Church around the world in the same bible passages preparing our heart to meet the resurrected Jesus on Easter Sunday.
We’ll send more information of coming events at Bloor Central tomorrow but wanted to highlight for you The Chosen tonight and the Warkentins on Sunday. See you at Bloor Central.
