Link #274 - Our Father.

Greetings in the name of Jesus.

Bloor Central is up and running! This weekend we start off with our community meal on Saturday night. For those unfamiliar with this ministry we open our doors on Saturday from 4-6pm to serve a meal. We focus on good, healthy, quality food to be shared at a table with others. It is an opportunity for us to practice hospitality to a city plagued with loneliness. Many people come from the area and we encourage our congregation to come and connect with our visitors. If you have never been why not check it out this Saturday (September 20). You can bring a friend, or come and meet a new one.

Sunday we meet for what we call SUNDAY WORD at 10am right here at 789 Dovercourt Rd. This is a time dedicated to seeking God primarily through the scripture. We have just started our series on the Lords Prayer (it is a prayer Jesus taught his disciples and it is full of significance). Our goal is not simply to read the prayer, or even memorize it, but we seek to actually live the prayer. This week we explore the command to refer to God as “Our Father”. If we can understand all that is included in that simply title our lives can experience a dramatic transformation. Please make sure to join us on Sunday.

On Thursday evening we are going to begin our viewing of The Chosen - Season 5. This has been a great evening to gather and enjoy this wonderful production giving us insights into the relationship between Jesus and his chosen disciples. We meet this Thursday, September 25 at 7pm in the chapel. Yes, we have pop corn.
