Greetings in the name of Jesus.

We start off this Bloor Central Thanksgiving weekend with something I’m confident you WILL like. Our Community meal on Saturday from 4-6pm has got a great menu lined up.

Appetizer: Butternut squash, sweet potato soup

Entre: BBQ Chicken, thyme mashed potatoes, veggies and a bun.

Desert: Pumpkin loaf.

It seems everyone likes our Meal, and everyone is invited - so bring a friend along.

What you might NOT like is the bible lesson on Sunday morning. Each week we gather for SUNDAY WORD at 10am. This is a time for us to seek God together. We ordinarily have a great time of fellowship looking into the scripture. But this week we introduce a line in the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples to pray that feels kind of awkward. Jesus said we should pray “hallowed be your name”. This is a prayer request that feels counter intuitive and it might even offend you. However, as we get into what this request is all about we begin to notice it is exactly what we need. Even when we don’t know what we need, we know we need this prayer. If we can pray this prayer, further if we can live this prayer, we will never see the world the same again. Conscious contact with God will begin to dominate our lives.
