Link #280 - THE BEST THING YOU COULD EVER PRAY FOR

Greetings in the name of Jesus. We hope you are looking forward to another wonderful weekend at Bloor Central.

“What is the very best thing you could ever pray for?”. Have you ever asked yourself that question? Perhaps you simply pray about anything that crosses your mind - not giving any thought to what might be important. We are very fortunate that Jesus offered us some important guidance in what is important to be praying about. This might seem strange to you - actually taking time to consider might be most important to pray. I’m confident that as we consider Jesus teaching this week we will agree why it is so vitally important to make sure we pray as he instructed. It is more then just important, it is fantastic! Join us Sunday morning at 10am as we seek God together. We are going to open some of the most fundamental ideas as to what prayer is all about.

We would like to continue to encourage you to be preparing for Sunday. Take note of issues we need to pray about so you don’t have any distractions (we’ll take time for a “set - aside” prayer), bring a very specific thanksgiving, be prepared to give, take time to go over the Lords Prayer etc.)

Don’t forget on Saturday we will be gathering for our community meal from 4-6pm. This week we are having home’ made minestrone soup, vegetarian chili on a cheese bun with all the works, coleslaw, a dill pickle and desert is an orange slice. Its always a good time so why not invite a friend.

One quick reminder that on October 25 we have a special weekend in memory of Andrew Evagelou. The community meal that evening will be serving his favorite meal - spaghetti bolognaise - as well as we will be taking donations for our food bank. You can make a donation of food (eg. brown rice, pasta, cooking oils and spices, canned tuna & chicken, canned and dried beans, peanut and almond butter… OR you can make a cash donation to the food bank.

We are looking forward to seeing you at Bloor Central this weekend.
